My Story

Ever have one of those moments? I refer to them as snow globe moments, your world is shaken, you don’t know up from down. It takes a minute for the swishing to stop, and when the glitter settles, you can see clear again. We had moment like that in 2005 when my husband of 20 years was diagnosed with MS- Multiple Sclerosis.

It was 2005, five years into our marriage. Our daughter Kaycee was two years old, I home schooled two of the older children, we lived on Don Shula’s golf course with a view of the 7th hole and a larger than life cypress tree in Miami Lakes, Florida. Life was grand, and it was about to change- drastically.

Within 5 months- dream house SOLD, everything all packed up and we are heading to Colorado.  Turns out, one has to learn how to live a quality of life by choice. And that’s exactly what we set out to do.

Real Estate is what I believe to be the land of opportunity. Part of the reasoning was the flexibility- with the MS therapies, tests, doctor appointments, procedures, equipment and red tape. When done properly real estate pays off in large sums and with the high cost of health insurance for a person with disabilities, prescription medication and equipment not covered, yet necessary for a quality of life.

At first we purchased, fixed and flipped properties. It seemed natural to get a real estate license to work our investments. When a parent I was serving with from the school’s PTO planned a move, it was my first sale & the rest is history!  I was a one woman show selling real estate in 2009. Within 2 years I found myself working 24/7 and I remember thinking, I need help!  In 2009, I founded what later was awarded the #1 team in 2012 for units sold in KW Colorado Region. This success & experience gave me a foundation to which be a KW MAPS Coach in 2015.

Being a business coach has taken the elements in business I am passionate about and allows me to utilize them to support the business owners who are professionals in their own right. We build standards, search for talent, learn to interpret financials, grow a service based organization and make business decisions based on educated thought and information.

Our entire lives changed the day I decided to start a business. We are more than just surviving being diagnosed with an incurable chronic disease.  Our family will leave a legacy.
